Doki Doki Literature Club is not suitable for 10 – year – olds, and this stance has not changed with recent “updates” (if any).
This game contains disturbing and harmful content such as themes of depression, self – harm, and psychological abuse. The seemingly innocent facade of a literature club quickly devolves into a series of events that can have a potentially very negative impact on the mental health and well – being of a young child.
The game is targeted more towards an older and more mature audience who are better equipped to handle such heavy and disturbing themes. It does not belong in the hands or near the view of 10 – year – olds, and parents and guardians should be well – aware of this fact to protect the mental health of their children.
